Comparative Study on the Macroscopic and Film Finding in the Endoscopic Examination

Abstract

|
In this report, 310 cases of various gastric disease were examined through the endoscopy (Fiberscope with gastrocamera, GTF-A). Then, macroscopic observation through the endoscopy were compared with the film findings taken by intra-gastric camera method at the same time. The obtained results were as follows.
Consequently, 75.1 per cent of all cases by macroscopic observation were in accordance with the film findings. Especially, much error were noted in comparison with early gastric cancer, atrophic gastritis and hypertrophic gastritis. So, on performing the endoscopic examination, the macroscopic observation must be followed by the film findings without fail.
